Cost is $650 plus testing fees. Scholarships will be considered for those who intend on volunteering for Red Lodge EMS or another local, volunteer EMS service or those who already volunteer.

Classes will be held at Red Lodge Fire Rescue 801 Broadway Ave North in Red Lodge.

The number of participants may be limited to allow for hands on instruction and supervisor attention. Apply early!

The state of Montana currently requires that licensed EMTs are 18 and have graduated from high school (or equivalent). NREMT does not have an an age limit for national certification. You may take this class if you are younger than 18 with department and parent/guardian approval.

Red Lodge Fire Rescue does give you the opportunity to take part in EMS ride-alongs as part of this EMT class as well as serve as a driver after appropriate training. An active drivers license and background check are required to take part in these ride-alongs. More information will be provided in the EMT class.
