Have you ever considered being a volunteer firefighter but weren't sure what it takes?

Red Lodge Fire Rescue will be hosting a "Firefighter for a Day" event where members of the public will be able to put on structure firefighting gear, spray water, use equipment, and learn more about what it means to be a volunteer firefighter with Red Lodge Fire Rescue.
You will likely be: lifting, carrying and dragging at least 30lbs, swinging axes, haligans and sledge hammers, and exerting yourself in a range of internal and external environmental conditions - heat, cold, wet, tight and/or dimly lit.
You do not need to have any experience to take part.
BE AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR COMMUNITY
Do you have an interest in serving your community? Are you looking for a way to help others and gain new skills? We have a job for you!
Red Lodge Fire Rescue is always looking for NEW MEMBERS to join our Fire, EMS, Search and Rescue and Support divisions.
VOLUNTEERING WITH RLFR
Red Lodge Fire Rescue
We are a combination volunteer and career fire department that serves the communities of Red Lodge, Bearcreek, Luther, and surrounding areas in Carbon County, Montana. We provide a wide variety of quality, comprehensive emergency services not often found in communities our size.
Red Lodge Fire Rescue has opportunities to volunteer in the Fire, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Search and Rescue (SAR) and Support Divisions. No prior emergency services experience is necessary, we can train you!
Being a volunteer member of Fire, SAR or EMS is demanding work for both members and their families, but our members find it worth it. You will enjoy camaraderie, new friendships, and an opportunity to learn, advance, and serve neighbors and guests in the community in a meaningful way. You will be a part of something bigger; a vital and respected organization filled with like-minded people from all walks of life.
