Red Lodge Fire Rescue has opportunities to volunteer in the Fire, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Search and Rescue (SAR), and Support Divisions. No prior emergency services experience is necessary, we can train you! Being a volunteer member of Fire, SAR or EMS is demanding work for both members and their families, but our members find it worth it. You will enjoy camaraderie, new friendships, and an opportunity to learn, advance, and serve neighbors and guests in the community in a meaningful way. This is the last catalog we will be putting out as the program is changing going forward. If the perfect thing isn’t in here, let me know, I might be able to get it for you. Just Ask! Eligibility: All members accrue points, even as recruits. Members can use the points for incentive items when they are no longer in recruit status. EMS Incentive grid: The EMS division has instituted a modified incentive grid for accruing points, which uses service hours and the number of calls done annually. Sharing and saving points: Points can be gifted to you by other members in any division. Points do carry over in all divisions. Reimbursements: Reimbursements are available again this year for approved items. Want something specific, like a backpack, BadAxx, tent, pair of binoculars, etc.? You may be able to use your incentive points. Please check in with Amy BEFORE you get anything. Utilize Expert Voice or GovX to save money; RLFR members are eligible- see Hyfield with questions on accessing this. Uniforms and clothing. Each member was issued a uniform which can be worn for events, on call (for EMS), when attending outside training, etc. Uniform items can be replaced without using incentive points if they become worn, damaged or badly soiled. Uniform items can also be exchanged if a different size or fit is needed. EMS can get additional uniform, just let me know what you need. Fire and SAR can get additional uniform items with incentive points if they would like and everyone can get non uniform clothing with incentive points. Some items can be personalized. If you have a piece of clothing that fits with the RLFR uniform, we may be able to have it logoed for you. Please see Hyfield about this opportunity.
